Inner Circle is a private newsletter for small groups of friends. Here is what we keep, why, and who can see it, in plain words.
What we keep
- Your email address, so you can sign in and get your issues.
- Your name and, if you add one, a profile photo.
- If you sign in with Google, we get your name, email and profile photo from Google. Nothing else.
- What you write and share in your groups: answers, photos, songs, questions, comments, reactions and the group photo.
- Your settings, like your timezone and which emails you want.
- If you turn on phone notifications, a code for that device so we can send it alerts. Turn them off and it's removed.
Who can see it
- Only members of a group can see that group's issues, answers and photos.
- Your answers stay private until the issue is sent.
- If you ask a question anonymously, nobody in the group can see it was you, including admins.
- We don't sell your data, show ads, or share it with anyone for marketing.
Services we use
We store data with Supabase, host the site on Vercel, and send email through Resend. Phone notifications go through Apple's or Google's notification service. They handle data only to run Inner Circle for us. When someone shares a link, we visit that page once to show a preview with its title and picture.
Deleting your data
You can leave a group at any time. You can delete your account in your settings, which removes your profile, answers, comments and photos. If you need help, email hello@myinnercircle.co.
